Enable Windows Media Player Minimize to Taskbar Tray Option in 7, Vista

Get Back WMP 12 Minimize to Taskbar Toolbar Option in Windows 7, Vista

Follow the steps below carefully to get back Minimize to Taskbar option.
Step 1 : Download this support wmpband.dll file, Click Here.     
Step 2 : Copy this file to C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player folder.

Step 3 : Press [Windows Key] + R  from keyboard and type in services.msc and click OK to open windows services. (You can also use Start > search Services)

Step 4 : Scroll down to find locate Windows Media Player Network Sharing Serviceand right click and Stop it if its not.

Step 5 : Now, Open the Command Prompt as administrator (Start > Search cmd > Right clickRun As Administrator) and execute the following command:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmpband.dll"
Wait to see the success message. That does it.

Lastly to test it, open windows media player and minimize it. Then right click on taskbar and use Toolbars > Windows Media Player and see if it works.
