How to Take a Screenshot on a Laptop ? [Windows, PC Tips]

Taking a Screenshot on a Laptop

Follow the simple steps below to take a screenshot on a laptop…
Step 1 : Take a clear look at your laptop keypad. Locate the Print Screen [PrtScn]button on the keyboard. See below.
Step 2 : Press the [PrtScn] button once. This captures your active screen on your monitor and copies it to the clipboard memory. Use "Alt+PrtScn" to capture the active Window only.
Step 3 : To use that screenshot, open an image editing program, such as Windows Paint.
Step 4 : Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste or use Ctrl+V. Use your image editor’s crop tool to crop out unnecessary portions of the screenshot
Step 5 : Save as .PNG for best quality.

This sometimes becomes a problem since the [PrtScn] button is hard to find in many laptops. In most laptops you will find it at in the screenshot above.
But in some laptops like compaq, hp and acer you have to use the Function [Fn] key along with the [PrtScn] button to make it work. Simply use the [Fn]+[PrtScn] together like you use Ctrl+V etc. This will capture the screen.
